Have you ever felt so trapped by life that you thought, “If only I was somebody else”?

Greetings! My name is Beks and I am psyched that you found my page. As you may have guessed, I am on a quest for betterment. Before I explain further, let me tell you about my background:

I grew up in New England, where I got to roam the woods, act in a Shakespeare troupe, and develop a love for people and books. After I graduated high school, and experienced the death of my father, I went to college for my degree in English Language and Literature.

Since graduating, I have traveled the country with my military husband, worked as a high school teacher and technical writer, and continued to improve upon my mental and physical health.

I want to share my findings with you…

For a long time, I fought with PTSD, doubt, and grief. I still do, but recently, I’ve been learning how to move forward despite the pain of the past. Nutrition, books, community, and minimalism have all been contributors to that growth, but there is so much more that helps me through. I want to share my findings with you.

(My first lake dive)

Let’s go back to my question at the beginning: have you ever thought “if only I was somebody else”? I’ve thought that many times. I believe it is possible to “become someone else” through slow work and a renewed mind. So, let’s talk about doing these things…together.

Are you ready to jump into these deep, unknown waters with me? I hope so.
